Isaac Motari, a Kisii based Jubilee party youth leader laughed off Kuria's declaration terming it as a joke.

"This man Kuria should not be taken seriously. He is out to achieve a hidden agenda. I'm sure he won't succeed blocking DP Ruto from getting to State House in 2022 since he doesn't have massive support across the country like DP Ruto who has traversed every corner of this country," Motari said.

He addressed the press in Kisii town on Friday.

The vocal youth leader challenged the Deputy President to focus on helping President Uhuru Kenyatta complete his term in 2022 before engaging people like Kuria.

"My humble plea to DP Ruto is that he should consider giving deaf ears to Moses Kuria who will not even get 100 votes in his own constituency to become President in 2022," he added.

According to Motari, Kuria is not being used by President Uhuru to derail DP Ruto presidential ambition in the coming general elections.

"Kuria is jealous because he is sure if DP Ruto becomes President, he won't associate with him anymore," Motari said.
