Police in Kericho county are holding a minor who was allegedly arrested while selling illicit brew.

The 13-year-old girl was reportedly nabbed while selling the illegal changaa brew at their home in Litein sub county.

The incident was confirmed by Bureti OCPD Felicia Nafula, who said that the girl was arrested alongside two other men.

According to to the police boss, two men who were also in the homestead during the raid were also arrested, adding that 97 litres of the brew was impounded during the raid.

She said that the alcohol was found hidden innseversl parts of the home, including the compound, living room and some in a home within the compound.

"50 litres of the illicit brew was found in a hole outside his house, 35 litres in the bedroom and 12 litres in the sitting room,” she told the Citizen Digital on Sunday.

The police boss added that the girl's father Alphine Koech who was the main target of the raid managed to escape, leaving the girl and the two men behind.

She added that the three are being held and will be arraigned in court on Monday, with a manhunt having been launched for Mr Koech.
