This, however, comes at a time when another section of Jubilee Party politicians is opposed to the same, raising concerns over opposition leader Raila Odinga's intentions.

Speaking in Nairobi on Sunday, Wamuchomba said that the union between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Odinga has led to peace between members of the two sides.

This was with consideration that members from the two sides could not see face to face before the handshake, at a time when Raila and Uhuru were sworn political enemies.

The MP was speaking in the company of 13 other Jubilee MPs under the Kieleweke movement, as well as a group of legislators from NASA and KANU.

"The fact that we can sit together with those who were on the opposing side and discuss matters affecting Kenya is such a miracle. That was only possible because of the handshake," she said as quoted by the Nation.

The vocal parliamentarian rubbished claims being made by a rival portion of Jubilee leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto that the team is out to fight some specific persons.

She noted that the team is concerned with uniting the nation and enhancing peace among Kenyans.

“Team Kenya is about peace, uniting the country and developing our nation,” added Wamuchomba.

Other MPs who were present include Maina Kamanda (nominated), Ngunjiri Wambugu (Nyeri Town), Joshua Kuttuny (Cherangany), Tom Kajwang (Ruaraka), Millie Odhiambo (Suba North) and William Kamket (Tiaty).
