While speaking in parables, in an apparent reference to DP William Ruto, Dr Kibicho insisted that Ruto cannot succeed in Mt Kenya since 'he did not sow anything in the region'.

Karanja, who said he has Uhuru's support, insisted that the trips by Tanga Tanga to Mt Kenya have nothing to do with development. He said that it's President Uhuru Kenyatta who initiates government projects.

The PS, who has been under scrutiny from a team allied to DP Ruto, asked Mt Kenya residents to stay vigil, adding that time will come for them to sit down and decide their destiny.

"As government workers, we know where our power comes from. The president supports us. That's why we are pushing these things. You cannot reap what you did not sow. Stop lying to our people that you're bringing development, it's Uhuru who is doing that," he said in reference to the DP.

He dismissed 'outsiders', arguing that time has come for them to learn the culture of the people from the region, adding that Mt Kenya people are not ready for rhetoric.

The PS further said President Kenyatta remains firmly in charge of the government, adding that he's the defacto leader who should give the region political direction.

"Resist this kind of confusion. We only want development. Ignore those other things. Those who visit us, must stick to our culture. We shall sit and speak when we are alone," he added.

Recently, a group of politicians allied from Mt Kenya region accused Kibicho os misusing his powers. Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro said the PS was behind plot to arrest him.

"I know the police boss (Kibicho) is after me. I don't think as far as recording statement is concerned, would help me fight a political war.

"I am 100% sure this happening because of my association with Ruto. PS Kibicho is punishing me for supporting Ruto. Uhuru is a well-meaning man but the people he appointed are playing politics," he stated.
