The lawmaker dared the county boss to destroy the property after the Governor embarked on the process of recovering public utility land.

The firebrand politician claims that the land on which the hotel lies was grabbed from Lang’ata Primary School.

“I expect my brother Mike Sonko to walk the talk. We all want to see Lang’ata Primary School get back their land from Weston Hotel,” Owino said.

The Governor has also said that his one-acre piece of land in Buru Buru will be demolished in the ongoing process.

“Even myself, there is a land I bought in Buru Buru. About an acre of that land is part of road access and we shall start by demolishing that wall. It does not matter how well connected you are, if you have built on a road reserve or waterways, that structure has to go down,” said Sonko on Thursday.

The move to destroy properties in different corners of Nairobi has elicited mixed reactions from different factions across the nation.

A section of residents whose properties have been affected wants the process stopped.
