Among the causes of the sores include using a toothpaste containing sulfates, eating acidic foods, smoking, allergies and injury to the mouth.

1. Take foods rich in vitamins 

Lack of vitamin B12 has been listed among the key causing factors of canker sores. As a remedy, try taking vitamin supplements. You can as well resort to eating foods rich in vitamins such as liver and fish.

 2. Avoid acidic foods

As mentioned earlier, acidic foods such as citrus and spicy foods can cause canker sores. It is will be a nice idea to stop consuming them to avoid getting the sores.

3. Rinse your mouth with saltwater

Have you ever tried using saltwater as a remedy? Well, it has the capacity to cleanse the mouth due to its antibacterial properties. Just gargle salt water for some days and your sores will slowly disappear.

4. Use toothpaste and mouth wash that doesn't contain sulfate

Be careful with the type of toothpaste you use. Go for the ones that don't contain sulfate.
