In the presence of President Uhuru Kenyatta, the two leaders shook hands as a crowd cheered them on.

The two are currently attending funeral service for legendary musician Joseph Kamaru in Murang'a, a function that has united them in as many months.

Last week, an irked Ruto accused Raila of using handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta to kick him out of Jubilee, a statement which precipitated political temperatures.

In a rejoinder, Raila's allies led by Junet Mohammed, accused Ruto of using handshake as scapegoat to derail Uhuru's Big Four agenda.

The showdown did not stop at that given Ruto, who was under pressure to back proposed referendum being advanced by Raila, joined forces albeit with conditions.

But Raila's team has rubbished his move insisting that he's not sincere after giving conditions to the proposed changes.

And on Monday, Migori by-election further irked the two camps after Raila's team accused Ruto of funding youthful politician Eddy Oketch, who gave ODM a run for its money.
