At least ten people have recorded statement in Kisii DCI offices, positively identifying Mr. Ondara Obutu as the man tricking them to part huge sums of money to 'facilitate them to get employment' in the county government.

In one incident, he is said to have approached a victim and chest thumped about his connections to the First Family, adding that he could secure employment for the victim's wife.

"I gave him ShSh200,000 and he promised to help my wife secure employment at the health department but it's now six months," said the victim who spoke on confidence because the matter is active in DCI.

A detective who did not wish to be mentioned said they have retrieved important evidence that would help them arraign the suspect in court.

Some of evidence includes written agreements with the victims and MPESA messages on the transaction.

"We are in the final stages. We now have quite a lot of evidence that will help us arraign him. The ten victims are ready to testify," he said.

Mr. Ondara is a brother to First Lady Naomi Nyagarama, and is said to have been engaging in the unscrupulous activities since 2013.

Efforts to reach him were futile since he could neither respond to text messages or receive calls at the time of going to the press.

By the beginning of next week, detectives are working around the clock to have him locked up.
