Supporters of Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama will now have to wait for at least another 24 hours before he lands from much anticipated trip from US.
On Saturday, social media was awash of Nyagarama's trip back home, which reportedly coincided with former US President Barack Obama's tour.
With Obama landing on Sunday afternoon, Nyagarama's communication team released a statement indicating that the governor will be landing on Monday afternoon.
"The governor will be landing at 2:15pm on Monday. He will be received at JKIA by senior government officials and supporters.
"Ignore rumours circulating that he was to land with Obama on Sunday afternoon," a statement from communication team said.
For the last two months, Nyagarama has been in US for treatment and the death of his son, Ndemo Nyagarama precipitated his home trip.
Ndemo, who succumbed to acute meningitis last month, will be laid to rest on Friday July 20th in Nyamira.
