This is not the first plane crash to be witnessed. Most plane crashes are caused by various things. Here are some of them:

1. Empty tanks

Sometimes planes run out of fuel while in the air. The plane can be controlled with source power from the emergency supply. This, however, won’t last for long and the plane will have to make an emergency landing in any nearby airstrip. Lack of an airfield will mean the plane will have to crash land.

2. Bad weather

Bad weather such as storms, snow, thunder and lightning are culprits for plane crashes. These will cause damage to the plane or even lack of visibility for the pilot.

3. Faulty repairs

Mistakes done during servicing of planes are major causes of plane crashes. While some can be contained for the plane to make an emergency landing, most of them will lead to fatal crashes.

4. Fatigue

Aeroplane crews are human beings remember? If they are overworked, they become stressed and fatigued. In this state, making a mistake is very easy as they will be too tired to notice them.

5. Bird strikes

Accidents happen everywhere. Some crashes are caused by birds in the air which get stuck in plane engines while in transit. This causes breakage or even malfunctioning of important plane propellers.
