Speaking at Mbiuni in Mwala sub-county on Saturday, Mutua said most of the leaders fighting him are against his presidential bid.

Mutua said he hasn't been able to diligently discharge his duties as a governor due to his political nemesis who is bent on frustrating his leadership.

"Even the MCAs are now fighting not to mention the speaker who has chosen to indulge in politics. She is receiving calls from the 'above' and told to ensure I don't perform in Machakos," Mutua said.

He said he won't stop his quest to lead the country stating that anyone fighting him is an enemy of development.

"I have a lot of plans for Machakos people beginning with the youths, farmers, women, and children. I want to ensure they become self-reliant, the youths to have money in their pockets and farmers to be able to sell farm produces abroad," Mutua added.

Mutua criticized the area MCA Joseph Wambua for failing to accompany him in his tour despite being in his ward.

"The MCA's failure to show up during my tour is the same as me failing to turn up when President Uhuru Kenyatta visits Machakos County," Mutua said.
