Chepsat who earlier reached out to Governor Mike Sonko decided to use an advert recently on a local daily so as to embrace transparency.

"Hon Sonko, I have reached out to you openly because I am not sure if my earlier communication did reach you. I also know that you cherish openness and transparency,” said the man on an advert quoted by Daily Nation

With his university degree as well as 15 years experience in public service, Chepsat described himself as a competent leader who will create a positive impact on the leadership of Nairobi county.

"I am driven by a strong conviction that I could make significance contribution to your efforts to improve Nairobi City,” he notes in the advert.

Chepsat further noted that if given the chance, he will ensure a record development in Nairobi.

"I vow to meet, if not exceed, your expectations and the expectations of the residents of Nairobi,” he concludes in his job application.

The office of deputy governor Nairobi county has been vacant since Polycarp Igathe resigned on January 13, 2018, on the basis of frustration from his boss, the governor.

Despite that, Sonko has not been in a hurry to get a deputy.  Several names have been linked to the job.

Former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru, gender activist and insurance executive Agnes Kagure as well as lawyers Karen Nyamu and Jane Weru have been tipped to fill the seat.

The flamboyant governor had also in one instance threatened to nominated controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna for the post.
