Two people have been confirmed dead and 3 seriously injured in a grisly road accident that involved two lorries and a motorcycle near Maseno along Kisumu Busia highway on Tuesday.

Speaking to Kisumu West OCPD Arap Kiptum he confirmed that two were dead, 3 seriously injured and 1 slightly injured. 

Both the dead and the injured were rushed to Jaramogi Teaching and Referral Hospital and the injured are confirmed to be receiving treatment.

The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed but the police have insisted they are undertaking investigations leading to the same.

Kisumu-Busia road is always busy due to the high number of Matatus, buses and long distance trucks that use the road to neighboring counties such as Uganda.
