Speaking in Banana, Kiambu on Sunday, Nyando MP Jared Okello warned of the same, with similar sentiments being echoed by Siaya Senator James  Orengo while speaking in Ugenya on the same day.

Should the DP be thrown out, the impeachment could result in one of the worst political encounters ever witnessed in Kenya.

Unlike now when his allies are more decent in airing claims that he is the target of the ongoing purge on corruption, there would be a terrible outburst in the instance that he is ousted.

This will most likely be met with the same from the opposition brigade and other Jubilee Party leaders opposed to him, leading to a shoot in political temperatures in attacks, counter attacks and of course, insults.

Consequently, the nation will slow down, leading to economic problems, and the situation would get even worse as the 2022 polls draw closer.

The effect of the impeachment would, however, depend on how it will be handled by the nation's top leaders, particularly President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition boss Raila Odinga.

If Raila backs the impeachment, then that would be the start of the 2022 political campaigns, since both are considered to be eyeing the top seat and would use the noise to better their chances.

On the other hand, Uhuru's support for the same would make it open that he never intended to endorse the DP in 2022 after all, rendering him a victim too.

From outside, Ruto will have lost the first round of succeeding the president, as he will no longer have the grounds to crisscross the nation purporting to be launching projects.

This will with time see him lose relevance, lowering his winning chances, leading to more noise from his side.

Left with no option, Ruto would only depend on the sympathy vote to realise his bid, especially in the instance that Raila and Uhuru retain their closeness, as he cannot beat them as a team.

His impeachment would mark the start of his new role as the leader of the opposition, only waiting to be validated after his loss in 2022.
