Kuttuny is among the group of politicians who have been calling for instant punishment of the corrupt, especially those who have been implicated in corrupt deals.

Nonetheless, the Kimilili lawmaker on Tuesday accused Kutuny of trying to force his way around the issue by forcing for the punishment of persons without any solid proof that they are indeed corrupt.

He accused the vocal MP of advocating for "vigilante justice".

"Kuttuny is advocating for vigilante justice where I'd you don't like someone or you have differences you accuse them of stealing money," he said on NTV's SideBar, Tuesday night.

Kuttuny is part of a team of lawmakers that have been calling for a complete fight on corruption, and have at times dragged DP Ruto into the matter.

Barasa is of the opinion that punishment can only be administered after the required due diligence, asking Kuttuny and his colleagues to use their powers to ensure the same is instituted.

He advised them to raise the issue on the floor of the house and have the alleged suspects checked and investigated.

"MPs who are rumour mongers just make claims without proper proof. But a person who understands that money has been stolen somewhere should raise it on the floor and have the Speaker institute a committee to investigate the issue," he said.

The two are both members of the Jubilee Party, though Kuttuny has aligned himself with the anti-Ruto team dubbed 'Kitaeleweka'.

The DP has found himself in the middle if most of the latest corruption scandals, but is yet to come out to clear his name.
