The politician expressed his concern over the health of Kadenge, who has been undergoing treatment at the High Dependence Unit (HDU).

He urged Kenyans to pray for the 83-year-old legend and also condoled with him over the loss of his daughter who was living in the United States of America.

“Visited former football legend Joe Kadenge at the Nairobi Hospital. I wished him a speedy recovery and expressed my condolences on the passing of his daughter in the USA,” he tweeted.

The visit comes after the family cried out for assistance to settle the huge hospital bill that has since accrued after the admission of the legend.

He rushed to the facility by his son Rodgers Kadenge on Wednesday night after he fell ill.  It is reported that the legends health worsened after he learned about the demise of his daughter Evelyne.

The son was asked to pay Sh. Ksh 400,000 before the legend could be admitted for treatment but he could only manage Sh.50,000. The family is yet to pay a bill amounting to Sh.600,000.

The family has now urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene into the matter as soon as possible in order to restore the health of the legend.
