Mysterious handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM party politics and investment eclipsed Raila Odinga's meeting with Governor John Nyagarama on Friday.

Moments after former West Mugirango MP Henry Obwocha's funeral, the ODM leader sneaked in Nyagarama's residences where he held a closed-door meeting.

Despite presence of other leaders, Raila opted to have a one on one with Nyagarama, who resumed duties in July after a long illness.

"He took time to explain why Nyamira people should support handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Also, the summoning of six ODM MCAs following impeachment of deputy speaker Duke Omoti featured. But more importantly, the governor requested Raila to lobby for agribusiness investment in the county," a source said in confidence.

During the funeral, Raila shared podium with Deputy President William Ruto where they preached unity and cohesiveness.

In the event, Raila also explained to his supporters why he opted to back President Uhuru.

"We cannot do things in a same way and expect different results. All we need for now is peace as we settle other issues."

ODM party issued disciplinary letters to six MCAs among them Majority Leader Duke Masira for failing to stand in solidarity with Mr. Omoti who was removed over misuse of power.
