The state institution alongside the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) have since deregistered some betting firms, along them giant firm SportPesa over a tax row.

Supporters of 'Kogallo', which has been surviving on SportPesa sponsorship, now say that they will defecate outside KRA offices to push for the removal of the ban.

One of the fans said that the team will not allow itself to launch paybill numbers owing to it's pride, but will instead push the government to lift the ban.

He said that should the team miss out on any of the coming continental marches, then the government will meet an unprecedented protest.

“Already, Mashemeji (AFC Leopards) have launched a Paybill number to raise money to pay their coach and players. But us being proud, we will not go round begging like our shemejis, we will stage a mother of all protests and defecate at Times Tower if Gor Mahia misses any of their continental matches because of lack of money,” a dejected fan is quoted by the SDE.

Others threatened to walk naked outside KRA offices in protest, only a week after SportPesa dropped its sponsorship of both Kogallo and the Leopards.

Others also lamented against the KRA's new directive which will see each gambler pay a 20 percent tax on all winnings, telling the state to place its own bets and stop harassing gamers.

“Why should I place a bet, win then KRA come to literally loot 20 per cent of both my stake and win? If KRA feels so jealous, why can’t it place its own bet? said a fan.
