On Monday, Nyaribo, who missed his brother's burial due to his absence from the country, was rumoured to be critically ill thus his absence.

But through a WhatsApp communication on Thursday, Nyaribo dismissed reports that he could stay longer in New Delhi.

"I have recovered. I will travel back home soon, probably within this month. It's been tough but I thank God that all is well now.

"The truth is, the operation on my kidney was successful and I have been around just to recover. There is no need to worry," he said.

During the absence of Governor John Nyagarama from May to July, Nyaribo temporarily served as governor and during his regime, radical surgery was initiated including sacking of ghost workers.

And his actions is said to have angered Governor Nyagarama and his handlers with County Secretary Erick Onchana accusing him of sabotage.

His return would also see viscous power sharing battles with the govenor since he accuses him of disowning their MOU signed before 2017 polls
