City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has claimed that the Somalis among other two communities are children of a 'lesser' God when it comes to high profile appointments in the country.
The vocal lawyer opined that the Somalis, Luos and the Indians are not given a fair share in key political appointments.
In a tweet, Kipkorir seemingly criticized individuals identifying themselves with the former Somali refugee at Dadaab camps, Ilhan Omar, who was on Tuesday elected into the U.S Fifth Congress. The vocal lawyer termed those celebrating her win in the United States as hypocrites.
"In Kenya, Luos, Somalis & Indians are children of Lesser God. They’ve no chance of being elected or appointed to highest offices. But when they succeed in US, Canada, Ireland & UK, we claim them. Our Hypocrisy reaches the Heavens! (Ps. Kenya GDP is. Us$80B, Minnesota is us$260B)," posted the City lawyer.
The lawyer's sentiments come at a time when a good number of Kenyan politicians are directing messages of goodwill to Ms Ilhan at the U.S.
Some of the Kenyan politicians who have since issued congratulatory messages to the former refugee include Majority leader Aden Duale, Garissa County Woman Rep Ms Anab Gure among others.
