Taking to his Twitter account moments after both Kenya and Somali recalled their ambassadors, the flamboyant city lawyer cautioned the government that Tanzania will be waiting after a row with Somalia is over.

“In September 2016, I warned Kenya against its claims over Somalia’s territorial waters ... Our Government didn’t heed my advice.... Our claims will pit us against Somalia for now, then Tanzania later. They that sow the wind will reap the whirlwind,” he posted

Back in 2016, Mr Kipkorir had advised the government through then-Attorney General Githu Muigai who was at the International Court of Justice at the Hague in a case with Somali over our maritime to be very careful.

Lawyer Kipkorir warned that should Kenya win the case against Somali, Tanzania was to come in and claim the same size of maritime Somali had lost to Kenya.

In a post on his Facebook account back in 2016, Kipkorir warned that the case was going to make Kenya lose both Somali and Tanzania.

“As our eloquent AG argues our case, he stands warned that wembe tunatumia kunyoa wasomali, ni ile ile watanzania watatunyoa nayo. What is good for the goose, is good for the gander! The case will make us lose both Somali and Tanzania,” reads part of the Kipkorir post.
