As Governor Ali Hassan Joho listened, a section of Mombasa residents confessed they do not know or recognise the two lawmakers.

Joho was on Pilipili FM Zinduka show for an interview on Monday, where the radio presenters asked listeners if they knew their woman representative and the senator.

To his surprise, the governor heard from the first caller, that he did not know the woman representative.

The second caller said the same while the third caller said he could not figure out who the Mombasa senator was.

Callers kept calling with many accusing the two leaders, especially the woman representative of being absent from the public immediately after being elected to succeed Mishi Mboko on August 8, 2017.

Mama Ashuu has indeed kept a low profile ever since she was elected.

On her social media account, the Mombasa county woman representative last attended a public function in Mikindani on August 14, this year, where she donated three 10,000 litre water tanks to three women groups.

Accompanied by Mikindani MCA Renson Thoya, Asha Hussein pledged to ensure all women groups benefit from the NGAAF water project.

On his part, Faki has been occasionally been seen in public including in cleaning exercise of different parts of the Mombasa city.

He was last seen during a press conference over the weekend.

Accompanied by the Mombasa County Peace Committees, Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir and the HAKI Africa rights group, they strongly condemned the killing of Mohamed Mwatsau (alias Jirongo) by armed criminal gangs in Kagujo-Barsheba, Kisauni Sub-County.
