Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has crossed swords with Deputy President William Ruto as to who should ascend to the presidency after President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Amid these developments, many Kenyans are yet to know Moi's higher education credentials.

According to the Kabarak University website, Gideon Moi holds a bachelor's degree as his publicly recognised academic qualification.

He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Salford, Manchester in the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining the giant UK institution, Senator Moi attended St. Mary’s School in Nairobi for his secondary school education where he earned the certificate of secondary education.

After his much-hyped graduation from the University of Salford, Moi returned to the country to take charge of the many family businesses.

He is reported to be among the very instrumental individuals in setting up and even providing invaluable oversight role for the expansion of the various business ventures.

Senator Moi’s commercial business interests have helped in creating employment opportunities for tens of thousands of Kenyans who would otherwise be jobless.

He is expected to run in the coming presidential elections.
