Speaking on Wednesday, Kabogo read laziness and unfairness in the move, especially from a person supposed to better healthcare for the people of Bomet.

He noted that health being a devolved function, its the job of Laboso to better healthcare in the county, but her move points at a poor performer who doesn't trust her own hospitals with her life.

Speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Wednesday night, he said that she should actually have trust in her own public hospitals and lead her people in seeking treatment locally.

"Inakuwaje gavana unaenda ulaya? Health is a devolved function. Inaonekana hujaunda hospitali kiasi ya kukutibu mwenyewe (how can a governor seek treatment in Europe yet health is a devolved function? It seems you have not made the hospitals fit to treat you personally)," he said.

Kabogo said that the case was different when he was at the helm of Kiambu between 2013 and 2017, saying that he made healthcare for the people of Kiambu his first priority.

He added that so equipped and trustworthy were the hospitals that his own family members sought sought treatment in public hospitals.

"Mimi nilipokuwa gavana Kiambu, hata mtoto wangu angegojeka alikuwa anatibiwa Thika Level Five (When I was the Governor of Kiambu, even my child would seek treatment at the Thika Level Five Hospital when sick)," he added.
