During a press conference in Nairobi on Wednesday, governor Obado accompanied by his wife and their two children denied reports that he was behind Sharon’s murder and ended up sending condolences to her family.

But the university student's father has now rejected the governor’s condolences

“I don’t know about his condolence messages and I don’t even wish to know. If they were meant for you (media), just keep them to yourselves. I have nothing to do with them. He (Governor Obado) has never been my friend and has not been close to me so I don’t want to know about them (condolences),” Otieno is quoted by the Nation.

The father said that all he wants is justice for her daughter and her seven months unborn child.

At the time of her death last week, Sharon Otieno was believed to be 7 months pregnant.

She was murdered by unknown people after being abducted alongside Nation journalist Barack Oduor.

Oduor managed to jump out of the abductor’s speeding car.

Sharon’s body was discovered in Kodera forest, Homabay County on Wednesday last week.
