On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen ignited political tensions after he seemed to be be blaming President Uhuru for ongoing Mau evictions.

"These problems were ignited by some people who entered government using backdoor. They collaborated with those from the other side to kick our people out," he said.

For weeks now, Jubilee party has been struggling to contain sharp divisions which could sabotage Uhuru's service delivery.

And in a press statement, Sakaja took a swipe on the Rift Valley leaders, accusing them of sabotaging the president by openly opposing his policies.

"In recent weeks, we have heard statements from Jubilee leaders whose main aim is to undermine the president of the country.

"Some have openly rubbished the president's directives of fight against corruption, lifestyle audit and even the Mau Forest evictions," he said.

On Murkomen's statements, Sakaja blamed his senate leader, accusing him of undermining the head of state.

"Statement by Murkomen that Mau evictions were part of MOU between Uhuru and Raila are misleading and unfortunate," he added.

A section of leaders from Rift Valley have openly dismissed lifestyle audit which they claim aims at sabotaging William Ruto's 2022  chances.

At Nyamira in Friday, Raila insisted that the fight against graft was unstoppable.
