The lawmaker said area chief died in May 2017 until today residents have not been accessing government services as required by the law.

Kemosi challenged Matiang'i to stop taking long to appoint another chief to continue serving residents in the area.

"I am appealing to CS Matiang'i to ensure residents of the affected sub-location gets the new assistant chief," he said.

According to the first term MP, failure to have the assistant chief in office has inconvenienced provision of government services to residents.

The vocal lawmaker vowed to follow up the matter until the Interior Cabinet Secretary appoints a new assistant chief.

He challenged locals to be calm to allow him push Matiang'i to appoint a new administrator.

"Residents in the said sub-location need not to worry because I am following the matter until the end. I'm not going to rest until the new chief is posted," said the Ford Kenya allied MP.
