Ichung'wah has been very vocal in defending Ruto and has repeatedly been endorsing his 2022 presidential bid during functions, mostly in the DP's presence.

However, according to Aladwa, the vocal MP is just one of the many leaders fooling the DP that he has Central Kenya's backing and will with time retreat back to their cocoons.

He said that top Central Kenya leaders will soon spell the way forward for the region, adding that Ichung'wah will be the first one to decamp from Ruto's side and into the new formation.

"Kimani anayejifanya loyal hapa ndiye atakuwa wa kwanza kuruka watakapopangwa na viongozi wao wa Central Kenya (all this loyalty will fade once orders come from above, he will be the first one to defect)," said Aladwa.

He was speaking in an interview on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi Show on Saturday morning.

However, in a quick rejoinder, Ichung'wah who was a fellow panellist maintained that he will stick by the DP.

"I will not abandon the DP. I am a principled man and I stick to my promises," he explained.

However, the DP has since called for political calm, urging politicians to shun the 2022 debate and concentrate on matters development.
