Kimimini MP Chris Wamalwa on Wednesday told KTN News that Ford Kenya can only withdraw from NASA after the party has written to the Registrar of Political Parties and this has to be done after the party has informed the NASA Parliamentary Group.

"Ford Kenya is still under NASA and as per the records at the Registrar of Political Parties. This had been ratified by our party organs namely Parliamentary Group, National Executive Council and Governing Council," Wamalwa said during the interview.

"The NASA coalition is composed of ODM, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya which are recognized by Parliament as per the Standing Orders. A party can only move out of the coalition after officially writing to the Registrar of Political Parties with concurrence of National Executive Council."

Wetangula two days ago announced the departure of Ford Kenya from the NASA coalition when he addressed the media in Kilifi.

"As far as I am concerned, NASA is history. We supported our presidential candidate but he let us down and we cannot continue being part of history," Wetangula said.

He said Ford Kenya and other two-NASA affiliate parties suffered humiliation during the March 9th handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga.
