Don Bosco Ooga Gichana is a Kenyan politician who was on Tuesday the 18th of September 2018 released from a Tanzanian prison.
He was arrested on February 2015 on allegations of money laundering and pleaded guilty of the charges.
However, there are some things you never knew about Don Bosco.
1. He once vied for a parliamentary seat
Don Bosco tried to vie unsuccessfully for the Kitutu Chache South parliamentary seat in 2013.
2. He has no mother
His mother Celine Gichana died in 2016. He did not attend the burial since he was detained in Tanzania.
3. Bought Raila Odinga the famous Hummer vehicle.
The popular vehicle the Hummer owned by Raila Amollo Odinga was purchased by Don Bosco Gichana in 2007. He was also the major financier for ODM in 2007.
4. People behind his rescue
People behind Don Bosco's rescue are the Governor of Nairobi Mike Sonko and EALA Member of Parliament Mr Simon Mbugua. He was released on Tuesday 18th of September on a Tsh300,000,000 fine which is equivalent to Ksh15 million.
