For the second time in as many months, Wanjigi, who had fallen out with Uhuru following 2017 divisive presidential elections, joined the two for a closed-door meeting.

Last month at DP William Ruto's Karen home, Wanjigi had accompanied Raila for lunch with Uhuru in a move that raised a stir on social media.

Photos released by ODM bloggers on Friday morning showed Wanjigi having light moments with Ida Odinga at Opoda Farm minutes before the president landed.

Also present in the closed-door meeting was Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and EALA member Oburu Odinga, a key proponent of the handshake.

Upon arrival, Uhuru was received by his host Raila Odinga, before the delegation proceeded to Raila's house for breakfast. The two leaders are expected at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology for graduation ceremony.

"President @UKenyatta arrives in Bondo, Siaya County. The President will attend the 6th graduation ceremony of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, where he will commission the JOOUST Teaching & Research Laboratory.#MbelePamoja," State House tweeted.https://twitter.com/StateHouseKenya/status/1073487888141205504?s=19.

Raila, who reconciled with Uhuru in March contrary to expectations of many politicians, said he was delighted to host his 'brother' at Opoda Farm.

"Mama @IdaOdinga and I are pleased to host President @UKenyatta and other distinguished guests for breakfast at our home in Bondo this morning."https://twitter.com/RailaOdinga/status/1073490011691991041?s=19.

Mr Wanjigi, who funded Uhuru in 2013 before their acrimonious fallout, was Raila's chief campaigner in botched 2017 presidential election, and has since stood with Raila Odinga during the difficult political journey.
