On Sunday, at least 23 women MPs under the leadership of Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, toured Baringo County in the spirit of the handshake.

In a tweet on Sunday, Likoni MP Mishi Mboko, who is a key member of the lobby group that backs the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta, and opposition chief Raila Odinga informed her followers about the trip.

"#TeamEmbrace is in Baringo today to continue showing support for the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and RT. Hon @RailaOdinga," she posted.

Reacting to Mboko's post, Murkomen was quick to note that the team had very few Jubilee women MPs, questioning the ability of the team to advocate for inclusivity in leadership avenues.

"For it to sound like handshake involve at least 3 Jubilee women," said Murkomen, in reference to presence of Sabina Chege, as the only woman MP from Jubilee.

Team Embrace, however, has representation from all leading political parties. The movement has been backing the handshake between Uhuru and Raila.

In Baringo on Sunday, the team was hosted by area Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot, a member of the KANU party.

She's also a close ally of area Senator Gideon Moi.
