In the video, a group of four students can be seen walking past an apartment building where two officers were having lunch at a food kiosk.

The two policemen order the students to sit on the ground before one of the officers starts slapping a male student, accusing him of hurling stones at people.

"Kaa chini, kazi yako ni kurusha mawe (Sit down, why are you hurling stones at people?)," said the officer.

This comes after JKUAT students on Friday took to the streets to protest against the murder of a first year student.

The student is reported to have been taking a walk with a friend near the Seagull Hotel before they were accosted by thugs.

They were then ordered to surrender all their belongings including their mobile phones.

The first year student is said to have been stabbed on the neck after she declined to surrender her belongings.

The video has sparked outrage online, with Kenyans demanding action against the officer.
