Odhiambo argues that it is not in order for the DP to continuously refer to Raila as a "witch".

Speaking on KTN's Check-point on Sunday night, the Suba North and staunch ODM member said Raila is a national leader who deserves respect.

“While in certain instances we might take it as mere politics, the continous reference to his Excellency Raila Odinga as ‘mganga’ by Ruto and his allies is out of order and they ought to stop,” she said.

She asked Ruto and his allies to embrace the handshake and preach unity instead of making statements that could cause disunity in the country.

On Saturday during a fundraiser in Lamu, Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General, Francis Atwoli slammed DP Ruto accusing him of disrespecting his elders.

He claimed that Ruto has refused to respect Raila, noting that a politician who does not respect his elders does not deserve to be called a leader.

Atwoli also claimed that Ruto and his allies will fail in the 2022 general elections adding that Ruto's name will not be in the ballot come 2022.

His statement has sparked criticism from Jubilee quarters, some politicians allied to the DP asking him to cease issuing such statements.
