The comedian who was speaking during his morning talk show on Milele FM revealed that he went against Luo traditions and built his mother a house after the death of his father.

“One thing I can tell you Mwakideu is that there’s no such thing as witchcraft. I don’t believe in it because there are certain traditions that dictate what should and should not be done. For instance, in our Luo community, there is one tradition that demanded I should not build my mother a house,” Jalang’o narrated to his co-host Alex Mwakideu on Wednesday morning.

He went ahead to disclose how he defied the tradition and built his mother a house despite receiving warnings from the members of the community that he would die should he commit the taboo.

Jalang’o even sarcastically joked on how he is still waiting for death.

“Up to now, I am still waiting to die because I have already built the house for my mother despite the tradition which states that my mother has to, first of all, get another husband. The community cried that I was putting myself in trouble but I am still here today with you,” Jalang’o noted.
