This was revealed by the company on its official Twitter handle, a revelation that appears to have caused quite some excitement among Kenyans.

"CITI HOPPA NEXT is the new kid at the bus stop, offering the new look tried tested city hop of the well-known Citi Hoppa. This is another endeavor to provide customers with comfort and reliability which are the hallmark of the green and yellow buses that weave through our city," the company's tweet read.

Citi Hoppa's fleet has long been dominated by Isuzu and UD buses.

According to DT Dobbie, the Mercedes Benz buses have been tailored with the passenger in mind and offer a better commuting experience.

The move is expected to put pressure on Citi Hoppa's competitors who still rely on Isuzu, UD and Hino buses.
