This comes amid a brewing row between the Kenyan government and its Somalian counterpart over what the Kenyan authorities have termed border intrusion.

Kenya claims that Somalia has auctioned oil and gas blocks within the Kenyan boundaries in the Indian Ocean, branding the horn of Africa nation an enemy state.

In a Tweet on Sunday, Alai who has been a pro-Uhuru online urged Kenyans not to join the debate just yet.

Instead, he wants them to question the whereabouts of funds collected from the products from the Turkana oil fields.

"Before the Kenyan public supports the government on this Somalia vs Kenya spat, we need to know how Turkana oil money has been spent. What volume has been extracted and how much revenue generated from the same," he wrote.

Speaking on Saturday, Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Macharia Kamau said that Kenya is ready to reject the act of grabbing Kenyan resources through proper avenues.

"This unparalleled affront and illegal grab at the resources of Kenya will not go unanswered and is tantamount to an act of aggression against the people of Kenya and their resources," he was quoted by the Nation.

Consequently, Kenya has recalled her envoy to Somalia Lucas Tumbo and sent out of the country Somalian envoy.

The area in question is about 100, 000 square kilometres to the east of the Kenyan Coast.
