The man, Gregory Dow, 60, reportedly committed the heinous acts at the orphanage he had founded some years back.

Police interrogated several persons at the Dow Family Children's Home in Kapsiratet village before the arrest. Dow is said to have started the facility with the help of the church before he reportedly resorted to molesting girls during his stay in the country.

Confirming the arrest, US lawyer William McSwain, said Dow will be arraigned in court for engaging in indecent acts while in a foreign land.

The lawyer stated that illicit sexual offences often attract hefty penalties from the court and Dow could be in deep trouble if he is found guilty of the offence.

The lawyer made the comments during a press briefing at the Lancaster County courthouse.

"From or about October 14, 2013, until on or about September 13, 2014, the defendant engaged in, and attempted to engage in, illicit sexual conduct with four different minor victims in Kenya,” he said in part.

The suspect and his wife Mary Rose had started the facility after they sold their farm back in the US State of Pennsylvania. The defined the facility as a home the needy as well as abandoned but its reputation was tarnished following the allegations of sexual molestation.
