The programme which has been airing on Gikuyu TV, is mostly dominated by Indian action movies with DJ Afro narrating the happenings, including translating foreign languages like Hindi to either Kiswahili or Kikuyu and/or maybe English.

The programme has been eliciting mixed reactions among viewers, with a section of them raising concerns over the use of vulgar language.

"CEO Dr @EzekielMutua will today hold discussions with DJ Afro and @tv_gikuyu officials to discuss the airing of content in compliance with CAP 222 of the laws of Kenya and adherence to the Watershed Period (5am-10pm).@TheKimonda @EzekielMutua @CA_Kenya @fhersy @mucheru," tweeted KFCB.

The board led by CEO Ezekiel Mutua on Wednesday held a meeting with DJ Afro as well as the management of Gikuyu TV, where it was agreed that the station would submit its content for examination and classification.

They also resolved to pull down unclassified content and adhere to the watershed hours.

The move to suspend the programme has elicited mixed reactions among Kiambu residents, with a section of them supporting KFCB's decision.
