Deputy President (DP) William Ruto on Tuesday met Serbian Ambassador to Kenya Dragan Županjevac, at his Karen office, Nairobi County.

The DP noted that they discussed various issues regarding the two nations.

Some of the issues discussed during the meeting include; the Big Four agenda, where the two focused on housing, promotion of vocal training and manufacturing.

“We are also sharing best practices, transferring technology and expertise as part of efforts to achieving the Big Four, especially housing and manufacturing and promoting niche courses for our vocational training institutes," he said.

The DP further noted that Kenya has embarked on the exploration of markets in European countries as it seeks to attain its vision before the end of the Jubilee regime. 

Ruto said  Serbia is among the countries of interests for Kenya as it gears towards development.

“Kenya is exploring emerging export markets, including in Eastern Europe for its diversified agricultural produce. Serbia is a target destination for avocado, mango, macadamia and other value-added products that will enhance farmers' earnings and boost our balance of trade," he added.
