A pastor is currently being held at Ogembo police station for allegedly sodomising an orphaned 12-year-old boy.
Witnesses said the pastor, Innocent Magero, who preaches at a local church in Ogembo town, lured the boy to his house on Tuesday and sodomised him.
“The pastor gave the minor Sh100 luring him to his bedroom where he defiled him,” said Isaac Mabuka.
Mabuka said the boy was heard crying in the pastor’s bedroom and when he went to check what was happening, he found the pastor getting busy so he raised an alarm immediately.
Local chief Douglas Makung’a who arrived at the pastor’s house said upon questioning the minor, he revealed all that happened.
“The boy revealed to me that he was sodomised. The pastor tried to escape but, members of the public nabbed him. He is currently being held at Ogembo police station and he will be taken to court," he said.
He called on members of the clergy to lead by example and stop engaging in unnatural acts.
