Independent ladies are by far the best to have around either as relationship partners or as life partners.
By independent, I mean the kind of ladies who can manage on their own without much support whether it is monetary or otherwise.
These kinds of ladies hold the keys to eternal happiness which will not come by the mere assumption that you will get to share financial responsibilities of the home, but by the fact that the independence comes with much more perks that allow happiness to flourish.
When a lady is independent, for example financially, she is accorded respect by her peers and even people close to her.
The respect will ultimately eliminate the danger of them involving her in some virtues of social being.
For instance, if she is married, her peers will find it hard to engage her in lazy habits like gossiping or careless partying which is common in most 'modern' ladies.

Being independent will, in the first place, require that you can make independent sound decisions.

On the financial front, an independent lady will also save you the 'trouble' of having to pay for every little thing she wants.
It is not trouble per se but seeing your wife taking up the role of a beggar in disguise is quite troubling.
