Bonchari MP John Oyioka has rubbished claims that he is corrupt.
According to the lawmaker, he has not engaged in corruption as claimed and he is committed to deliver to the electorates.
“I didn’t receive any money to throw out the Sugar Report as earlier claimed. I don’t support corruption and this means I will not be part of leaders condoning corruption,” he said.
Oyioka faulted his political rivals for paying some youths to taint his name on social media.
“I will not blame the youths who are accusing me falsely on social media over bribery. I will blame my political rivals who are not happy with my leadership. I have always assured everyone that I am ready to engage all local leaders in Bonchari to develop the constituency. Divisive politics and false accusations will not help my rivals to become leaders in future,” he said.
Oyioka assured that throughout his tenure, he is not going to discriminate any region especially in the disbursement of CDF funds to fund various development projects.
“Youths should use social media to help themselves and not abuse me. Whoever will be caught spreading propaganda on social media will be arrested and face prosecution,” he said.
