Speaking on Radio Citizen's Jambo Kenya on Thursday morning, the ex-county boss noted that he never at any point used his powers to steal from either the county or the public.

He invited the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate him in the spirit of the reignited war on graft.

"I never did anything wrong when I was Governor. I never bought even a quarter of an acre or anything using county coffers," said the outspoken politician.

He expressed his readiness and willingness to be subjected to investigative measures and also readiness to surrender whatever he might have acquired wrongly.

"I am ready to be investigated and if they find anything in my possession thought to be from proceeds of corruption in relation to my four years as governor then they can take it away," he added.

This comes at a time when the anti-graft war seems reignited following a recent pledge by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti that he will not be manipulated by the ongoing political interferences.
