Nominated lawmaker David Ole Sankok has heaped praise on Nakuru county, terming it the heartbeat of Kenyan politicians and the backbone of the political arena.
In a Facebook post after addressing a congregation of area Members of County Assembly at the county Assembly on Thursday, he noted that Nakuru is of major importance on matters Kenyan politics.
He added that Nakuru had always coordinated the entire nation, and has severally set the agenda which was later followed throughout the nation.
"Nakuru county is the heartbeat of Kenyan political and socioeconomic life when Nakuru is peaceful, Kenya is peaceful and when its happy Kenya is peaceful," he wrote.
He termed Nakuru the most cosmopolitan region in the nation and a place where all the four Presidents that have served Kenya have seen need to invest in land and housing.
The Jubilee Party parliamentarian also noted that the county hosts all the tribes of Kenya, making it a suitable place to live in.
"All Kenyan Presidents have homes and ranches in Nakuru, it is the mother of all Presidents. Nakuru is the most cosmopolitan county in Kenya hosting all the 45 tribes of Kenya," he added.
