Kegati residents were treated to a free wrestling show on Sunday after a man beat his wife over the controversial Prophet David Owuor.
Witnesses said trouble started when Daniel Kebati wanted to watch Inspekta Mwala on Citizen Television while his wife, Jennifer Nyarangi, was glued on K24 watching Prophet Owuor who was performing miracles at Nairobi's Central Park.
"Kebati arrived home from church and found his wife watching television. He asked his wife to give him the remote so that he can watch Inspekta Mwala. The wife refused saying she was watching the miracles being performed by the man of God," said Robert Nyamete.
Nyamete said the man attacked his wife with kicks and blows from the house on claims that he will not allow her to join the repentance and holiness church.
Local chief Philip Nyamosi said the man and the woman worship in different churches.
The chief said the man was forced to take his wife to Kegati medical center for treatment because of the injuries she sustained on her head and knees during the scuffle.
