Four police officers linked to a foiled robbery in Olenguruone, Kuresoi South constituency on Friday are in police custody.

The four who include one general duty officer, two administration police officers and a driver to Molo DCIO were arrested after exhibit linked them to the incident.

Two were arrested on Monday and the others on Tuesday.

Kuresoi OCPD Hesbon Kadenge, in a telephone interview, said that two of the officers are being held at Olenguruone police station and the rest at Molo.  

They are said to have raided the home of an Olenguruone-based businessman in the company of seven others but when members of the public answered a distress call, they all fled leaving behind a magazine with 15 rounds of ammunition. 

Kadenge said that the magazine was positively identified as one belonging to one of the officers. 

Further investigations relating to his mobile phone date revealed that he was in constant with the other officers already in custody.

The police boss said that they are looking for more suspects in connection to the incident.
