Speaking on his YouTube channel Take It Or Leave It on Saturday, Manyora urged the DP to mend fences with former Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe.

This follows Murathe's attacks on the DP. The former Gatanga lawmaker had been using his time since December last tear to poke holes jnto Ruto's bid.

But has advised him to woo the outspoken politician back, insisting that he wields power and influence that might propel him to the top post.

"Ruto must talk to Murathe. He is much more important and powerful than he might appear," advised Manyora, a professor at the University of Nairobi.

He also advised Ruto to seek friendship with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, another of his chief critics and close ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

However, his comes only a week after Joho accused Ruto of involvement in graft as part of an attack on Ruto's allies who have been accusing him (Joho) of trading in narcotics.

"He must also talk to the likes of Joho. Let him not listen to his allies attacking the governor. Joho is an institution," he advised.

Ruto is yet to respond to the attacks and accusations being sent his way by both politicians, instead of leaving them to face the wrath of his lieutenants.
