Jack Ochieng' Omondi went missing when she was sent by her mother Lilian Omondi to buy food at Rodi Kopany market and had been missing until Sunday.

His said abductors later called, demanding a ransom of Ksh15 million from the mother who works as a house help, a demand that was not met.

He was on Sunday found stranded at the Kisumu Bus Station before well-wishers took him to a police station, after which he was reunited with his mother.

Ms Omondi said that she doesn't owe anyone anything, wondering why the abductors took the boy who is a class six pupil at Rodi Kopany Primary School.

“I have never had wrangles with anybody neither do I owe anybody a debt in the village. Let them return my child,” she told the Standard.

The achievement was confirmed by Homa Bay Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Daniel Wachira who said that efforts are in place to nab the suspects.

"We are following them to ensure legal measures are taken against them,” he told the Standard.
