The three leaders are among a host of guests invited to attend the installation ceremony of Bishop Philip Anyolo as the new Archbishop of the Kisumu Catholic Archdiocese.

The event will be held at the Uzima University College Grounds on Saturday, starting at 10 AM.

Fr. Samuel Nyataya who is based at the Kisumu Catholic Archdiocese said that the three leaders are among guests invited for the event.

“We have invited them but they are yet to confirm their attendance,” he said in an exclusive interview with Hivisasa.com.

Fr Nyataya said that they have also invited all the four Luo Nyanza governors and all Catholic Bishops in the Country.

Head of the Catholic Church in Kenya Cardinal John Njue is also expected to attend.

In November last year, Pope Francis appointed the Bishop of Homa Bay Philip Anyolo as Archbishop of Kisumu Catholic Diocese.

Anyolo, who also doubles up as the chairman of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), will be taking over from Archbishop Zacchaeus Okoth.

The latter is retiring after serving in the position since May 21, 1990.

Kenyatta, Ruto and Odinga last visited Kisumu County last month during the launch of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) programme.
